Quick ways to relieve blocked sinus!???

any one know any quick ways to clear the sinus's. i have a big problem. and i gag constantly because i have so much THICK drainage. when i went to the doctor last time i had this, he said i had a big thick white strand of goo hanging down the back of my throat that he could see. haha my drainage is very thick and i need help!
