Question on cardiac arrest...?

Cardiac arrest can occur at any age, so yes it can occur in 25-30 year olds. Cardiac arrest occurs usually when the heart enters an abnormal heart rhythm like ventricular tachycardia, ventricular fibrillation, pulseless electrical activity or asystole. Cardiac arrest can occur because of heart attacks and other heart conditions, certain electrolyte abnormalities (elevated potium), drug overdose, hypothermia, respiratory arrest leading to low oxygen levels, etc. Cardiac arrests are not common in young people. The most common cause in young people is respiratory arrest from any cause and drug overdose. Heart conditions like prolonged QT syndrome, hypertrophic cardiomyopathy and Brugada syndrome can also cause cardiac arrest rarely in young people.
