Were you aware that by desiring equality, you are pushing an agenda?

I have heard more than a few people try and say that fighting for basic human rights is considered pushing through an "agenda". Oh wait....not ALL people fighting for basic human rights.....only the ones they don't agree with. For example, abolishing slavery - inalienable human right and therefore good. Gay marriage - attempt to perpetuate a gay agenda and therefore bad. Does anyone see the double standard here? So by fighting for equality could I be described as an "agenda pusher"? I just don't understand how there can be such a blatant double standard and yet those who say it don't see it at all. So I guess the actual question here is has anyone else noticed this?
