I have a easy cap and my desktop wont pick it up.?

Im trying to install tye drivers for tye easy cap on a old mv500 compaq presario i had to buy a 2.0 port for it. once i first plugged my easy cap abd 2.0 hub it found the easy cap abd had a problem with installing the right driver so i installed the driver on the cd and it keeps saying after it finishes the process plug in easycap device and reboot computer when eluminated. the problem is that once i plug in the easy cap my desktop doesnt pick up the easy cap. could someone please help!
