Has anyone heard anthing about Chevrolet having problems with struts on their Monte Carlo models?

I have a 2004 Monte Carlo SS and a friend has one as well. She just had to have her struts replaced. They were under warranty. I now may have to have mine replaced as well because my car is wobbling a bit even after new tires and an alignment. Has Chevrolet had a problem with their struts? have they had any public announcements on this? What can one expect the cost to be for replacing struts if the warranty doesn't cover them?
