Does getting your belly on pierced hurt?

im supposed to be getting my belly on pierced tomorrow. so i need some quick opinons. im 14 years old and this is my first time getting a piercing other than my ear. does it really hurt as bad as some people say it does. my mom said to inhale and exhale and it doesnt hurt that bad. does that actually work? thank you kimm:)
