Why can't muslim cashiers check out balogna at the cash register?

I was at Walmart buying a few things, and the cashier, wouldn't tough a package a bologna, and had to call another cashier to ring it up. I don't know what country these people are from, but they're the people who wear the rags over their head and face. The bologna was obviously in a package. What's wrong with these people? How do they get jobs when they can't even perform their duties. I was wondering if I laid a piece of bologna on their doorstep, what they would do. So what's up with these people and their inability to check out a package of bologna at the cash register?
