My computer is crackling and then my monitor goes out.?

After a few snap, crackle and pops...poof my computer dies. When I try to turn it back on I either get the blue screen of death or a series of beeps 4-2-2. What does this mean and what can I do to fix it? Can someone please help?...pretty please?
